Sweet Shop Sidmouth

Our home town - Sidmouth town and sea taken from the top of Peak Hill and featuring our theme flower, the Daffodil

A recent article in the Daily Mail featured our wonderful town and some of it’s heritage.

And it’s inspired me to write this time about what a fantastic place Sidmouth is to live and work in and just how lucky we are!

Daffy-down-dilly Confectioners is a family business and we are local to the town. In fact I can look down the road where my Grandparents used to live from the window of the shop! Many happy memories. I can remember falling off my bike numerous times in Holmdale!!

As the business grows and we increase our online sweet shop presence particularly, it’s sometimes easy to forget the natural beauty and community on our very doorstep. If you are looking for a reputable sweet company to buy sweets online from, DaffyDownDilly is sure to help. We have an amazing range of sweets. From super fizzy sweets and sour sweets, to retro sweets like Flying Saucers, Black Jacks and Aniseed Balls. From traditional sweets such as boiled sweets rhubarb and custard, fantastic Sherbet Lemons and Chocolate Limes. Brilliant jelly sweets and gummy sweets. Our selection of Haribo jelly sweets is awesome! Yellow Bellies, Friendship Rings, Heart Throbs and Teddy Bears are just the tip of our jelly sweet iceberg!

So if you or someone you love likes to buy sweets, we are well worth a look. Delivery for online sweet orders is free on orders over £30 and for all retro sweet hampers and American candy Hampers too. And all of our sweets are packed to order so you can be sure that they will arrive tasting amazing!

Our town is full of characterful and independent shops with a difference that attract locals and visitors alike all year round but particularly in the summer months.

We are lucky enough to benefit from the Byes, a wonderful parkland area that stretches alongside our river. It’s a super walk! In fact the town is full of award winning parks and gardens. Blackmore on a sunny day is my personal favourite. A super secluded and restful area right in the middle of town… who could ask for more?!

And then of course, there’s our fantastic coastline and beach, my son loves rock pooling at low tide just as much as I did!

So whether you’re coming to see us in the midst of Sidmouth’s famous daffodil display. The inspiration for our company name and colours, in the middle of a wet and wild November day or in the glory days of summer, you’re in for a treat. Have a little wonder up our High Street too, there’s so much to discover!
