About Haribo Sweets 

According to Wikipedia, Haribo is a German sweet company founded by Hans Riegel Sr. in 1920 in Kessenich, Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia. The name is actually an acronym formed from Hans Riegel, Bonn!

Haribo Sweets created the very first gummy candy in 1922. They were in the shape of tiny gummy bears called Gummibärchen. The Haribo Sweets current headquarters is in Grafschaft, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
